Independence Day Precautions

The 4th of July is right around the corner and it is important to take some important precautions to keep your pets and little ones safe. If you have a dog, try to distract him/her with toys, tug-of-war, or background noise. Make sure to watch out for any dangerous items that your dog could access, such as sparklers, toxic glow sticks, or poisonous foods. There is also a higher possibility of dogs running away when they are scared of the noise, so make sure they are secure. If you have a baby, try to keep him/her a safe distance away from the fireworks, as the vibrations and blasts can be intense and even damage hearing. You can try covering your baby’s ears with a hat, blanket, or earmuffs. Stay safe and have a great Independence Day!
