False Alarm – Zero Reports of Dog Poisonings

A resident of Morris Hill informed us there were reports on Facebook claiming dogs were being poisoned at the local dog parks in Boise. Zero reports of dog poisonings in local dog parks were filed with the Idaho Humane Society in the last year. While concerned citizens may contact the humane society or Boise Police Department to determine if any dog poisoning reports exist, official reports are only filed when the society receives proof of the pet’s poisoning from its veterinarian, according to the Idaho Human Society. You may contact the Idaho Humane Society’s Animal Care and Control office at 1-(208)-343-3166 or aco@idahohumanesociety.organd the Boise Police Department at 1-(208)-570-6000 or https://police.cityofboise.org/home/downloads-online-services/public-records-request-form/to file a public records request.
